Brown - it’s not just a colour- Hotel review by Tamar Oren Sherman

If you want to have a magical getaway, I highly recommend visiting the Brown Hotel in the German colony (Hamoshava Hagermanit) in Jerusalem. I remember last summer my children were away with their father, and I wanted to go somewhere, so I opened my computer, and started to look for a place in Jerusalem. What really attracted my attention was the beautiful historical building that was built in the early 20th century for a seamstress; the building was converted to a boutique hotel with updated exceptional design. From the moment you get into the garden, you feel like you are in Europe with the French music playing so nicely with the right tune, the colourful walls, furniture and the extraordinary style, makes you feel relaxed. The staff are very attentive and courteous, and make you feel right at home. They speak a few languages, which is very helpful for the guests. The rooms are warm and cosy; when you get into the room your name appears on the TV which makes you feel as a very important person, the bathroom and shower are spotless and tidy. The design in the room makes you feel royal, the trims at the ceiling are painted in gold, the burgundy striped colour walls and the king size bed really make it majestic. The hotel is very close to restaurants, theatres, public transportation and museums. You can go for a walk or take the bikes the hotel provides and go through the historical Yamin Moshe neighborhood, where you can find a spot with a view to the Tower of David and soak up the spiritually while looking at Jerusalem’s old city walls. The hotel provides you a voucher to eat breakfast at two restaurants of your choice. If you want to pamper yourself more and distress your mind and body for 45 minutes long, they provide spa services such as massage or reflexology; you can choose a package of massage with breakfast in the hotel garden. On your next getaway I highly recommend calling the Brown Boutique Hotel in the Moshava.
